When talking to friends about privacy, a common refrain from many is that they have nothing to hide. This is a tell sign that they really have no idea what privacy really is, that it’s not about just them, & why digital privacy matters to the well-being of society as a whole.
The Hate One, a YouTuber that I subscribe to does a great job of reminding us of some egregious privacy & civil rights abuses that currently go on in the name of data collection & “targeted advertising”, & explaining why we should all care.
